Meet Dr. Leslie Saltzman

saltzman-bioDr. Leslie Saltzman is the founder of the Rittenhouse Women’s Wellness Center which offers primary care, routine gynecology, medical and aesthetic skin care, fitness, nutrition, and psychology exclusively for women.  The practice is committed to transforming the delivery of primary care for women patients.  Patients receive a concierge-level of care without additional cost beyond health insurance reimbursement - patients rarely wait more than 15 minutes to see the doctor; have one hour initial visits; the practice has extended hours including nights and weekends, provides same-day sick appointments, calls and emails are returned promptly, preventive services are offered, and uses the latest EMR and patient-facing technology to deliver the highest standards of modern medicine. The internal medicine practice has been recognized by the National Committee of Quality Assurance as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home. The recognition is the highest primary care recognition from NCQA, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare nationwide.
 

Dr. Saltzman, who is a board certified internist, was first exposed to medicine as a child while observing her mother’s family practice. She went on to earn her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (her mother’s alma mater). She began her training in family medicine and completed her internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital, which gave her a solid grounding in gynecology. Dr. Saltzman then completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania’s Pennsylvania Hospital.  Her professional interests include women’s health, evidence-based preventive medicine and endocrinology. 

Dr. Saltzman completed her undergraduate work at Wellesley College, earning a B.A. in French and Economics. Prior to completing her post-baccalaureate studies at the University of Pennsylvania, she worked in New York for Pfizer’s Consumer Healthcare Division as a Market Manager. Dr. Saltzman lives in Philadelphia with her husband and daughters. She has been featured in The Internist, Medical Economics, Philadelphia Women's Journal, heard on BenFM 95.7 as Woman of the Week, and has contributed locally in Philadelphia on CBS3 and NBC10.

Meet Dr. Jillan Bellows Rowbotham

rowbotham-bioDr. Jillan Bellows Rowbotham, a board certified internist, was first exposed to medicine while volunteering for Hospice of Lansing during her third year of college, and it was a life-changing experience that made her want to become a doctor. She went on to earn her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received her training in Internal Medicine at Main Line Health’s Lankenau Hospital in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania where she was one of the top residents in her program “Dr. Bellows Rowbotham remains one of our best residents. She is absolutely dedicated to the well-being of her patients and is a wonderful communicator with patients and their families.” Dr. Bellows Rowbotham’s schedule began filling up weeks in advance with women patients and this gave her the experience and solid grounding to focus on women’s health. Her professional interests include gastroenterology, weight management, nutrition and food policy.

Dr. Bellows Rowbotham completed her undergraduate work at Michigan State University, earning a B.S. in Human Biology with High Honors. Prior to completing her residency training, Dr. Bellows Rowbotham volunteered to travel to Guayaquil, Ecuador where she assisted in reconstructive surgeries.

Dr. Bellows Rowbotham is the co-founder of Physicians for Humanity; and is also an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, The Obesity Society and has been awarded the William Dickerson Memorial Award. As an undergraduate, she was also selected as the Academic Woman of the Year. Dr. Bellows Rowbotham currently resides in Philadelphia with her husband.

Meet Dr. Marina Bachurina

bachurina-bioDr. Marina Bachurina, board certified internist, completed her Internal Medicine residency with the Drexel School of Medicine program at Easton Hospital. She discovered her love for medicine at a very young age when studying biochemistry in middle school in Russia where she grew up. Later, when completing medical school at Volgograd State Medical University, one of Russia’s most competitive and high ranking universities, Dr. Bachurina made the decision to specialize in Dermatology. She then moved on to complete her residency at The Medical Institute on Postgraduate Education in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she formally began her training in Dermatology and became chief resident extensively specializing in skin care and non-surgical corrections of scars and wrinkles.

Dr. Bachurina then moved to the United States for postgraduate studies and worked at a Dermatology practice before starting her Internal Medicine residency here. Her experience in dermatology brings Rittenhouse Internal Medicine a trained Internist who will provide medical skin care services as well as primary care.

Her professional interests include: Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Allergy & Immunology, Rheumatology, Women’s Health, and Gastroenterology.

Meet Dr. Monica Duvall

image Dr. Monica Duvall is a board certified family physician with over 10 year experience. She joins us from the University of Pennsylvania Health System where she practiced medicine and held a faculty position. She is currently accepting new patients age 13 and older.

Dr. Duvall received her Doctorate in Medicine from Temple University’s School of Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar and received a general honors certificate. Her professional interests include: preventive medicine as well as women’s medicine.

Dr. Duvall is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and The Union League of Philadelphia  Dr. Duvall currently resides in Gladwyne section with her husband.
